The short version
SoundFlame does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no accounts and no analytics.
What stays on your Mac
Your music files, your library, your playback history, and your settings never leave your device. SoundFlame is sandboxed and only reads the folders you explicitly choose.
The one network request
When a track has no local or embedded lyrics, SoundFlame can look them up on LRCLIB, a free public lyrics database. That request contains only the song's title, artist, album, and duration — never your identity, IP-based profile, or listening history. You can simply not use online lyrics if you prefer; nothing else connects to the internet.
No tracking, no ads, no third parties
SoundFlame contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics frameworks, and no third-party trackers. We have no way to see who you are or what you play.
Children's privacy
Because SoundFlame collects no data at all, it collects none from children either. It is rated 4+.
